The Congregational Church in Silver Lake was the location where Linda was confirmed after being baptized in Oklahoma. She received her high school diploma from Silver Lake in the year 1974.

The Secretary Associates Degree that Linda earned was earned through her attendance at Hutch VoTech. On January 4, 1977, Linda enlisted in the United States Army. She served until June 26, 1992, when she was transferred to the rank of Sergeant and received an honorable discharge. Throughout the course of her military career, she has been honored with a number of accolades and has served in many locations across the United States, as well as in Korea and Germany.

In addition to being a longstanding member of the Silver Lake American Legion Post 141, the Silver Lake Lions, and the Grace Bible Church in Silver Lake, Linda served as Commander of the post for a number of years. She took pleasure in participating in her bowling league, shaking dice while drinking her morning coffee, cleaning on Sundays throughout the week, volunteering with Blizzard Blast, and spending time with her grandchildren.

At the weddings of her nieces and nephews, Linda also took great pleasure in always being the one to cut the cake. Parents Milan and Joanne Klima, her son Sherron Klima, her niece Jennifer Plamann, and her nephew Jeremy Plamann all passed away before her. She is the last surviving member of her family. Linda would like to express her gratitude to the Minneapolis and St.

Cloud Veterans Affairs Hospitals, the Harmony River Living Center, and Connect Care Allina Hospice for all of the assistance and care they provided for her. The Maresh Funeral Home in Silver Lake will be the location of the visitation that will take place on Friday, October 7, 2016, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. At the church on Saturday, there will be additional visitation that will take place one hour before the services.

Grace Bible Church in Silver Lake will be the location of the funeral services for Linda Klima, which will take place on Saturday, October 8, 2016, at 11:00 AM. Pastor Dr. Tom C. Rakow will preside over the ceremony. Grace Bible Cemetery in Silver Lake will be the location of the interment. Military rites will be performed.

Kimberly Rasmussen, Bethany Loncorich, Becca Jopp, Molly Klima, Libby Klima, Amber Klima, Carly Hand, and Kacie Hand are the nieces of Linda who will serve as honorary casket bearers throughout the funeral service.

Some of Linda’s nephews, including Mitchell Klima, Jacob Klima, Eric Klima, Lucas Plamann, Matt Klima, Chris Plamann, and Mike Plamann, are serving as the bearers of the casket.
