Ruby Wood, who was 73 years old and had been born in Laurel, Delaware, passed away at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford on December 3, 2012. She was known for her kind and compassionate nature. She called the state of Delaware her home.
Ruby York was named after her late parents, Harry York and Callie York, she was born in Ashville, Tennessee, and got her name from her parents. Sadly, both of her parents had passed away before her. In the years preceding up to the death of her husband, Joe Watson Wood, Ruby was a loving homemaker who placed a strong emphasis on her family.
Her sons Bill, Gene, and Joe, as well as her daughter-in-laws Rose, Vickie, and Sherry, can all attest to the fact that she was a loving and attentive mother. Not only that, but she was a loving mother to all of the other members of her family.
She is the grandmother of Alex, Dana, Emily, and Billy, in addition to being the grandma of Malisa, Patricia, James, Christopher, and Margaret. She is also the grandmother of Emily and Alexander. Among the great-grandchildren of Matthew, Faith, Rowan, and Conner, Conner is the great-grandmother. Additionally, Conner is a member of Rowan’s family. There are three sisters in question, and their names are Betty Carter, Peggy Anderson, and Liz Ford.
They are all sisters. Additionally, she is survived by a sizeable number of nieces and nephews at the time of her dying. The Hannigan, Short, Disharoon Funeral Home, which is located at 700 West Street in Laurel, Delaware, will be the venue of the funeral ceremony that will take place on the morning of Thursday, December 6, 2012, at eleven o’clock in the morning.
The event will be held in honor of the deceased. Additionally, there will be a viewing that will take place between the hours of ten and eleven in the morning before the event begins. In addition, Reverend Jack Bussard will fulfill the role of the ceremony’s presider. It has been decided that the burial that will take place on December 7, 2012 will take place at Rosedale Cemetery, which is located in the state of West Virginia.
