Riley Strain Missing, Nashville University Of Missouri Student, Help Locate Missing Riley Strain

It was on Sunday, March 10, 2024 when Danny Lynn Sanders, who was 69 years old and from Scottown, Ohio, passed away in the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington, West Virginia. His parents, Lyndall and Eleanor Reba Moore Sanders, welcomed him into the world on September 15, 1954 in Huntington, West Virginia. It is his wife, Delores Jacks Sanders, who will go on after him.

Dan served in the United States Army for a total of eight years, devoting his entire life to the military. After serving his country with honor in Kuwait, Iraq, and Afghanistan, he was promoted to the rank of Specialist along the way. After completing his time in the military, Dan went on to pursue a job in the construction business as a heavy equipment operator. In this role, he was able to demonstrate his excellent talents and craftsmanship.

Dan discovered peace and comfort in the peaceful beauty of nature while he was not working. He was a passionate hunter, and his favorite activities included hunting bears and deer, with Schrock’s being his favorite quarry. Above all else, he regarded the birth of his two kids as his most significant achievement.

Dan Sanders, who had been married to Jennifer Sanders for fifteen years, was a devoted husband. His two lovely kids, Colton Wheeler Sanders and Andrew Gerald Sanders, who were the light of his life, as well as his mother, Irene Poling, and her husband, Robert, as well as his sisters, Mary Sanders and Sarah Sanders, and a special and dear cousin, Jon Gaither, will miss him terribly. In addition, he is survived by a large number of relatives, including aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews, who will always keep his memory close to their hearts.

During this time of remembrance, we would like to extend an invitation to our friends and loved ones to join us in commemorating Dan’s life and enjoying the joy that he offered to those who were fortunate enough to be in his presence. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 11, 2023, from 4 to 8 PM at C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., located at 21 N 2nd St, Oakland, Maryland 21550.

Additionally, a funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, from 10 to 11 AM at Redhouse St. Johns Lutheran Church, located at 3301 Garrett Highway, Oakland, Maryland 21550. Bishop Matthew L. Riegel will preside over the service. After the funeral, the burial will take place in Mount Israel Cemetery with full military honors.
