Evelyn Perez Obituary, Death, Corpus Christi Texas, A Heartfelt Farewell To Evelyn Perez

PEREZ Evelyn Swords-Perez, 87, of Bridgeport, cherished mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away quietly on Thursday, May 24, 2012, surrounded by her loving offspring. She was the daughter of the late Richard and May Monroe Swords, and was born in Bridgeport. She was a longtime resident who will be cherished for her calm, kind demeanour, love of music, and wonderful sense of humour.

Her beloved family will never forget her, even though they will mourn her terribly. Richard, Jay, Pete, Joseph, Marybeth, and Barbara, her six children, two sisters, Mildred Callahan of Bridgeport and Lorraine Salko of Fairfield, twelve grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren are among her survivors.

Virginia Dawson and Mariam Zukowski, her two sisters, predeceased her. On Friday, June 1, 2012, at 11 a.m., friends are cordially invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Patrick’s Church in Bridgeport. Burial will take place in St. Michael’s Cemetery in Stratford.

As per Evelyn’s request, calling hours have not been provided. The arrangements have been entrusted to the Commerce Hill – Dougiello Funeral Home, 4798 Main St. Bridgeport on the Trumbull line.

Shaday was her entire universe, despite having seven children. Adrian Rene was one of Evelyn’s many grandsons. Her daughters, grandkids, brother Raphael Perez, and other cousins survive her.

Elba Colon, Evelyn’s mother, and her spouse Rene Sarracent both passed away before her. The Prince-Boyd & Hyatt Home for Funerals, Inc., located at 210 W. Court St. Rome, will host funeral services on Thursday at 7 p.m. Friends and family are welcome to make calls at the Funeral Home on Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m.
