Ty Holiday Obituary, Death, A Tribute to a Creative Soul

On Friday, March 8, 2024, Ty Geissinger, also known as Ty Holiday, of Middletown, Ohio, age 31, went away unexpectedly and suddenly. Ty was born in Germany on September 22, 1992. She was a music teacher, a 2010 graduate of Clinton-Massie High School, and she was also a bass guitarist and singer for the band Anaphaunt.

Her mother Janet (Brad) Bower, her maternal grandmother Elizabeth Reeder, her sisters Heather (Justin) Keith and Kimber Geissinger, her nephews Maxwell and Greyson, her niece Annaleise, the entire Clarksville area, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends survive her.

Ty left a lasting impression on our band and our lives throughout his brief time with us. Their ability to play music improved our performances, giving each song a rich, emotional, and soulful quality.

Ty’s deep voice and deft use of the upright bass gave our sound a distinctive and memorable depth. Ty was not only a talented musician but also a bright, kind, and giving person. People were drawn to them because of their captivating personality, and every space they entered was made brighter and cozier by their presence. Ty had a way of making everyone feel important and welcome, whether they were performing or not.

We take comfort in the moments we had together and the music that will always be a part of Ty’s soul after this devastating loss. Their passion for music was evident, and they will continue to have a long-lasting effect on our band as well as the local music landscape.

We send our sincere sympathies to Ty’s family and loved ones during this difficult time as we grieve the death of our beloved friend and bandmate.

We hope that during this trying time, they find solace in the knowledge that Ty’s music and spirit will always be cherished in our hearts. Our thoughts and prayers are with them.
