We regret to inform you about Marc Cahn’s terrible departure from this life on March 1st, 2024. He was 69 years old. On Kauai, Hawaii, where they had spent their honeymoon thirty-six years earlier, Marc and his cherished wife Lyne were commemorating their anniversary. Friends, family, and the Boulder community as a whole are all grieving the unexpected and sudden loss of Marc.
They will all miss his kind disposition, adventurous energy, and easygoing manner. Marc’s commitment to healing led him to Palmer College of Chiropractic West in California, where he graduated valedictorian. Returning to Boulder, he opened a practice that became a vital part of the community for over 40 years. Marc’s hands brought relief and comfort to thousands, allowing them to rediscover the joy of life.
Born on April 29, 1954, in Newark, New Jersey, Marc’s journey was one of resilience, exploration, and unwavering dedication to the well-being of others. Growing up in West Orange alongside his late sister, Janet Wright, Marc’s early years set the stage for a life marked by compassion and a thirst for adventure.
A graduate of West Orange High, Marc’s path led him to UVM before a transformative visit to his lifelong friend David Kaplan drew him to CU Boulder, where he found not only an academic home but also a place that captured his heart. Following his college years, Marc embarked on a transformative journey across Australia and Southeast Asia with his late friend Beaver, a period that solidified his decision to become a chiropractor.
Beyond his professional achievements, Marc’s impact resonated in the warmth of his relationships. As a loving husband, a caring friend, and a dedicated community member, he touched the lives of all fortunate enough to know him. The void left by his unexpected departure is a testament to the profound influence he had on the fabric of Boulder’s close-knit community. In honoring Marc’s memory, let us reflect on the richness of a life well-lived.
May his legacy inspire us to embrace compassion, seek adventure, and cherish the connections we forge along life’s journey. As we mourn the loss of Marc Cahn, let us also celebrate the enduring spirit of a man whose presence made the world a brighter place.
