Ethel Bowness Obituary, Death, A Tribute to a Creative Soul

We share the news of our mother, Ethel Bowness, who was loved, with heavy hearts and deep sadness. Her absence has created an unfillable vacuum in our lives, and those who had the good fortune to know her will always treasure her memories.

Ethel was our family’s heart and soul; she was more than just a mother. Her undying devotion to her children, Rachel, Noah, and Milo, was visible in every part of her life, and her love knew no bounds. We are deeply saddened by her demise and will miss her terribly.

Thanks to her intelligence and perseverance, Janet was able to balance working and raising a family during the 1970s and 1980s. After Al retired, they relocated to Kentville, Nova Scotia, where they owned and operated the Wild Rose Inn in addition to being active members of the Ken-Wo Golf and Country Club. B had a passion for sports and was a loyal fan of several teams throughout the years, but especially the Winnipeg Jets (Go Jets Go!). A passionate player, she took part in the Canadian Senior Ladies Golf Championship, hitting a five wood at Grovehill to complete a hole-in-one.

Let us find solace in the lovely memories we had with our mother while we mourn her passing. Every memory, whether it be of quiet talks or times of laughing, is a priceless gem that we will cherish for the rest of our lives.

Even if Ethel’s body is no longer with us, her love and the memories she left behind will carry on her spirit. Let’s remember Ethel by upholding the principles of love, compassion, and kindness in the days to come.
