Choyce Redmon Obituary, Death, Midlothian Shooting, Shootout Victim Dies At 25

Police said Choyce Redmon, 25, died in a hospital after being shot Tuesday evening in the 500 block of Chelsea Drive. The Midlothian Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance relating to a fatal shooting reported at 8:56 p.m. March 5 in the 500 block of Chelsea Drive.

In a media release, MPD said it believes it was a targeted assault and identified Choyce Redmon, 25, of Midlothian as the victim. According to the release, a “dark-colored (possibly black) luxury sedan” was seen driving from the scene.

MPD is asking residents in the area to check their personal security footage for vehicles driving in that direction around that time. Those with information can contact detective Philip. Choyce Redmon, 25, was shot many times and was lifeless when police entered the house. After being taken to Midlothian Methodist Hospital, Redmon was declared deceased.

Witnesses claimed to have seen a dark-colored luxury automobile leaving the scene of the fatal shooting and perhaps traveling from Chelsea Drive to Westminister Drive, according to the police department.

Although they do not have a suspect’s name, the authorities stated they think Redmon was wanted. Neighborhood neighbors are being asked by the police to look through their surveillance footage to see if there are any cars that were driving in that direction at the time of the event.
