According to the Corpus Christi Police Department and ABC station KIII-TV, 21-year-old Caleb Harris was last seen close to his apartment complex in the 1900 block of Ennis Joslin Road, close to the Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi campus, where he is a second-year student.
According to KIII, a Snapchat ping revealed that Harris walked his dog outside his off-campus apartment at approximately 2:45 a.m. local time. The student’s father, Randy, informed the channel on Tuesday that he had left his ID and car keys behind.
Randy reported that his phone had died by three o’clock. He had completely vanished. His wallet is missing. There is nothing identifying on him. By Wednesday, local authorities and Caleb’s pals had joined forces in the hunt for the New Braunfels native.
A&M-CC student Logan Johnson told KVII about the search, saying, “As soon as I found out about it, I got all of my work out of the way and set aside all of yesterday to spread the word as much as I can, basically through this entire zip code. The search for Harris was expanded on Thursday to include local dive teams, Texas Search and Rescue, and the U.S. Coast Guard.
CCPD Senior Officer Antonio Contreras told NBC affiliate KRIS-TV, “We’re using the cadets that we have currently in the academy to physically get their boots on the ground and canvas the adjacent fields, the drainage ditches, areas like that. This Thursday. “Right now as of early afternoon, we don’t have any updates, but we’re really working hard to find him.” Among others who are worried about Caleb’s abrupt disappearance is Harris’s father.
Randy Harris told KIII, “There’s just nothing there that would cause us to believe he was in any danger or leaving.” “He had actually ordered in his food for the next day for school.” Harris, a 180-pound man with a height of around 5 feet 11 inches, was last seen with teal pants and a white shirt on. The Corpus Christi Police Department is requesting that anyone with knowledge regarding his disappearance get in touch with the authorities.
