Wayland Brian  James On July 16, 1957, James was born in Newark, New Jersey, to George Allen and Joyce Francesca James. Among their three boys, Brian was the eldest. He went by “Tron” with affection. The foundations of Brian’s education were laid in the hallowed halls of Catholic schools in Newark, NJ.

As the family planted new roots in Roselle, NJ, Brian continued his academic journey, graduating in 1975 from Abraham Clark High School. His formative years in Newark and Roselle shaped the character of a man who would become an integral part of his community.

A proud and lifelong resident of Roselle, New Jersey, Brian’s roots ran deep within the soil of the town he called home. His connection to the community mirrored the strength and resilience he displayed throughout his life. In his spiritual journey, Brian found solace and purpose at St. Paul AME Church in Kenilworth, NJ.
