Emergency services were called to the Queen’s Drive area, near to the junction with Victoria Road, after a 13-year-old boy was found with stab wounds at around 8.30pm on Friday. The boy was taken to the Royal Hospital for Children Glasgow, where he is described as seriously injured, but stable. Early enquiries indicate that the boy was walking near to Queen’s Park, where an altercation took place.

Enquiries remain ongoing to establish the full circumstances, and officers are appealing on information regarding around groups of youths gathering in the park around the time of the incident. Ad Detective sergeant Stephen Palmer said: “We have a team of officers working on this investigation and extensive enquiries are ongoing to establish what has happened. “Officers are gathering CCTV footage from the surrounding area and door to door inquiries are also being carried out.

“We will have a continued police presence in the area and anyone with any concerns can approach these officers. “I would like to reassure the community that officers are working to trace whoever is responsible. “We believe the area was busy at the time and I am keen to speak to anyone with any private CCTV, dashcam, doorbell, or any other footage that they think would assist the enquiry. A man was shot and killed by NYPD officers in Queens after he stabbed his with a knife inside an apartment, then charged at officers, according to police and law enforcement sources. Police responded to a call about an assault in progress inside an apartment building on 62nd Avenue in Rego Park just before 7 p.m. Friday, police said during a news conference.

The officers saw a 46-year-old man armed with a knife on the second floor of the building, who then allegedly charged at them. The sergeant hit the man with his taser, while two other officers fired their guns, according to police. About four gunshots were fired in all. The man, who has not been identified, was taken to the hospital, where he died. It is believed that the man had used the knife he was holding to stab a woman, who law enforcement sources said was his wife, in the stomach.

She was being treated for at least two stab wounds; law enforcement sources said she suffered critical injuries, but is expected to survive. The who encounter took place during a family gathering with children present, according to police.

Officers also scrambled to the area after receiving reports of a serious disturbance. It’s understood there was a stabbing during the alleged incident in the public park, which is usually busy with locals including dog walkers and joggers. A 29-year-old man was found injured at the scene when emergency services arrived. He was rushed to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.

Images show an area of grass taped off inside the park, while cops were seen standing guard. Police remained at the scene early this morning. A section of the park is currently closed to the public. A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 6pm on Monday, 3 April, 2023, officers received a report of a disturbance at Queen’s Park, Glasgow. “A 29-year-old man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital A 31-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the alleged incident. He is expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Wednesday, 5 April, 2023.

Police in Queens fatally shot a man who charged at them as they responded to a report of a stabbing at a family gathering in Rego Park on Friday, authorities said. The shooting occurred around 6:50 p.m. just after three officers and a sergeant climbed stairs to the second floor of a building on 62nd Ave. in Rego Park, a few blocks north of Queens Blvd. As the officers arrived at the second-story hallway, a 46-year-old man ran toward them with a large kitchen knife, said NYPD Chief of Department Jeffrey Maddrey. “They told him to drop it. He charges the officers,” Maddrey said.
