At the age of thirteen, he departed from this life on Thursday, March 7, 2024. It was made known that he had died by a Facebook post that read, “A life beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered.” On March 7, 2024, Joseph James Fornero passed away while his family was around him.

NORMAN FORNERO Obituary Norman J. Fornero, 76, passed away on Friday, June 10, 2022 in Waukegan. He was born April 6, 1946 in Waukegan and a former resident of Mundelein. He graduated from Waukegan High School in 1964 and was a veteran of the US Army. Norman was active in the City Club of Waukegan and enjoyed golfing as a member of Glen Flora Country Club.

He was a former employee of the NCR Corporation in Mundelein and was a former Lake County Realtor with Remax Suburban and Century 21 Marketplace. Surviving are his children, Joe (Laura) Fornero and Laura (Bryan) Slowick; 5 grandchilden, Julia, Anthony, Andrew, Nathan and Caitlin; his dear friend and companion, Marilyn Schmidt; his sister, Francesca Prideaux (Bryan Heffernan); and brothers, Charles and George Fornero.

When John Joseph Fornero was born on 18 October 1898, in Streator, LaSalle, Illinois, United States, his father, Dominic Fornero, was 23 and his mother, Catherine Mary Schumacher, was 21. He married Irene Gayan on 21 July 1923, in Streator, LaSalle, Illinois, United States. They were the parents of at least 1 son and 1 daughter. He died in November 1969, in Streator, LaSalle, Illinois, United States, at the age of 71, and was buried in Saint Stephen Cemetery, Otter Creek Township, LaSalle, Illinois, United States.
