He peacefully departed this world on Sunday, March 3rd, 2024, at the Riverview Lutheran Rest Home in Loxton. Aged 85, Rodney leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and cherished memories that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him. This will be a time to bid farewell to Rodney, to pay our final respects, and to find solace in the memories we shared with him.
A Loving Father, Grandfather, and Friend
Rodney was a devoted father to Brenton (Red), Andrew (Roo), and Kingsley. His love and guidance shaped the lives of his children, instilling in them values of compassion, integrity, and resilience. He was also a beloved father-in-law to Jasmine, who shared in his joys and supported him through life’s challenges. As a grandfather, Rodney adored his grandchildren Eddy (Deceased), Troy, Tyrone, and Brianka. He cherished every moment spent with them, watching them grow and thrive, and imparting his wisdom and affection along the way. His love for his family knew no bounds, and his presence brought warmth and joy to their lives.
A Cherished Brother-in-Law and Friend to All
In addition to being a loving family man, Rodney was a cherished brother-in-law to Norma and Dawn. His kindness and generosity knew no bounds, and he was always there to offer support and comfort to those in need. Rodney’s warm smile and friendly demeanor endeared him to all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He was a true friend to many, always ready with a listening ear, a helping hand, or a word of encouragement.
Honoring Rodney’s Life
Relatives and friends are invited to join us in honoring Rodney’s life and legacy at his funeral service, which will be held at the Concordia Lutheran Church in Loxton on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at 10:00 am. As we come together to celebrate Rodney’s life, let us remember the love, laughter, and joy he brought into the world. After the service, the cortege will proceed to the Loxton Lawn Cemetery for the committal.
