Traffic was diverted and the exit ramp was closed. No information was provided about the identity of the motorcyclist or whether other vehicles were involved. Both the eastbound and westbound lanes of the ICC were closed between Shady Grove Road and Georgia Avenue as police conducted a collision reconstruction investigation, according to authorities. By 5:25 p.m., the westbound lanes had reopened. Shortly after 9 p.m., Alert Montgomery announced that all lanes of the highway had reopened. The collision was the second in less than a week that involved a motorcyclist. Earlier Sunday, Montgomery County police had identified Anthony Bernard Lee, 35, of Damascus as the man who died when his motorcycle collided with a car Thursday at the intersection of Snouffer School and Centerway roads in Gaithersburg.

The motorcycle was a red, white, and blue sport bike and it may have been traveling with a group of other motorcycles. Officers claim the motorcycle was a red, white, and blue sport bike and it may have been traveling with a group of other motorcycles.
