Wyatt Banks, a freshman at the University of Georgia and a beloved brother of The Kappa Sigma Beta Lambda Chapter, left an indelible mark on those around him with his infectious positivity, academic excellence, and unwavering support for his friends. Tragically, on Wednesday night, February 21st, 2024, Wyatt passed away, leaving behind a void in the hearts of all who knew him. In his memory, and to support his grieving family during this difficult time, we embark on a fundraiser dedicated to raising awareness about mental health and suicide prevention

. Remembering Wyatt Wyatt Banks was more than just a student; he was a beacon of light in the lives of many. With his radiant smile and contagious laughter, Wyatt brought joy to every room he entered. As a member of the Morehead Honors College, he demonstrated exceptional dedication to his academic pursuits, while also being a dependable source of support for his peers. Whether it was lending a listening ear or organizing a memorable night out, Wyatt was always there, ready to uplift those around him.

The Hidden Struggle:

Despite his outward positivity, Wyatt carried hidden burdens that he chose not to share with others. Like many individuals facing mental health challenges, he grappled with his inner demons alone, masking his pain behind a façade of cheerfulness. Tragically, this isolation led him to a desperate decision that cut short a life filled with promise. Wyatt’s story serves as a poignant reminder of the importance of breaking the stigma surrounding mental health and reaching out for help when needed.  Raising Awareness: Through this fundraiser, we aim to shine a light on the pervasive issue of mental health and suicide.
