Amy Ross Lopez Obituary and Cause of Death, a Resident of Arizona with Lupus Named “whisky Girl” Has Passed Away.

on October 14, 2013 due to complications associated with Systemic Lupus. Born September 11 1973 in Billings Montana, her musical journey began at four when she started learning piano by ear. Later her passion blossomed when she moved to Ranchester Wyoming where she quickly earned respect and admiration among local residents for being able to perform any song requested, earning her great admiration and love from many.

Infectious Joy

Amy had a powerful impact on those she was close to beyond just musical talents. Her infectious smile, positivity, and sense of humor was a source of great joy – friends and family alike remember Amy laughing through difficult situations with ease; nieces and nephews particularly treasured her company at family gatherings which always ended with giggles, mischief and creative antics thanks to Amy.

Love and Partnership

Amy’s personal life took an extraordinary turn when she met and married Derrick Ross. Together they formed the folk duo Nowhere Man and a Whiskey Girl which left an indelible mark on music scene. Tragically Amy died shortly thereafter as well, deepening grief felt by both communities and fans of Nowhere Man and Whiskey Girl.

Amy’s passing triggered an outpouring of global tributes, from newspaper articles and vigils to ongoing memorials and social media posts. Friends and family fondly remember her as a beautiful songbird of comedic candor who always brought laughter, rocked danced sanged sang out in unison and made us all feel better with every visit she made to their lives. Although grieving, Amy’s family expressed appreciation for all their communities’ support & prayers while cherishing all memories shared laughter storytelling & pranks!

A Legacy of Love

Amy Lopez Ross left behind an immeasurable legacy of love through her death and that of her loved ones: Ranelle and Phil Kane, her brother Matthew (Cardin) Lopez, sisters Lindy Nielsen (Jeremy Nielsen) and Katie Carpenter (Brent Carpenter), five nieces, one nephew, as well as numerous family and friends that cherish Amy in memory and will support their journey through grief together. Amy will always remain an inspiring figure for those that knew her best; memories of Amy’s radiant spirit, laughter, and undying love provide comforting support as the family journey forward together on their grief journey; along the way they find strength from memories of Amy’s radiant spirit, laughter, and everlasting love continue to offer solace as comfort to family members and friends alike in times of loss.

Honoring Amy’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no local services were held in her memory. Amy Ross left behind an immeasurable legacy through laughter that still fills cherished memories and timeless melodies she gave the world. Amy Ross lived a life filled with love, laughter, music and celebration; leaving an indelible mark in all our hearts who knew her well.
