It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the untimely passing of Josh Roudebush on February 13th, following a tragic car accident. Josh’s sudden departure has left a deep void in the hearts of all who knew him, and his loss is felt deeply by his family, friends, and colleagues.

Josh was a valued member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers IBEW Local 294, where he was in his second year of apprenticeship. His dedication to his work was evident in everything he did, and his passion for his craft shone through in the quality of his workmanship.

Despite the challenges he faced as an apprentice, Josh approached each day with a positive attitude and a smile on his face, earning the respect and admiration of his fellow union members. Beyond his work, Josh was a devoted husband to his loving wife Cheryl and a proud father to his son Blaiden. His family meant everything to him, and he cherished every moment spent with them. Whether he was playing with his son, enjoying a quiet moment with his wife, or spending time with extended family, Josh’s love and devotion to his family were unwavering.

The news of Josh’s passing has sent shockwaves through our community, leaving us grappling with a profound sense of loss and disbelief. His infectious smile, warm personality, and kind-hearted nature touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of calling him a friend.

In honor of Josh’s memory, a funeral service will be held on February 23rd at 3pm in Clearbrook, MN. For those in need of transportation to the service, we will be meeting at our office in Nashwauk at noon. We encourage all who knew Josh to join us as we gather to pay our final respects and celebrate the life of a truly remarkable individual. While we mourn the loss of Josh, we also hold onto the memories and moments shared with him, finding solace in the love and laughter he brought into our lives.

Though his time with us was far too short, the impact he made will live on in the hearts of all who knew him, serving as a reminder of the preciousness of life and the importance of cherishing every moment. As we come together to honor Josh’s memory and support his family during this difficult time, let us also hold onto the hope that one day we will be reunited with him in a place where there is no more pain or sorrow. Until then, may his spirit live on in our hearts, inspiring us to live each day with kindness, compassion, and love.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Josh’s family, friends, and colleagues as they navigate this unimaginable loss. May they find comfort in the love and support of those around them, and may they be granted the strength to carry on in the days ahead. Rest in peace, dear Josh, knowing that you will be forever loved and remembered by all whose lives you touched.

Margie Watkins Obituary, – The individual responsible for the shooting of three women in Pittsylvania County on June 22 is now facing a first-degree murder charge following the tragic death of one of the victims. According to authorities, the incident occurred on Saturday afternoon when a witness observed a man wielding an axe and a gun, forcefully entering a residence on Sandy River Road. The man in question has been identified as Telvin Hairston. A relative informed ABC13 that the shooting arose from a dispute regarding the custody of Hairston’s children, whom he had fathered with one of the victims involved. Within the home, three individuals were struck by gunfire, including 82-year-old Margie Watkins, who was the grandmother of the other two victims, Keyana Rikale Martin and Kierra Risheena Phillips. Tragically, Margie succumbed to her injuries. Joseph Watkins, Margie’s nephew, shared, “She always expressed her willingness to protect her grandchildren, even if it meant sacrificing her own life. She remained steadfast in her commitment, and she ultimately fulfilled her promise.” Hairston’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for September 17.
