Flora Garza, born on October 22, 1933, in Tiocaltiche, Jalisco, Mexico, was a woman of remarkable strength and grace. She was the daughter of Amado and Micaela Carrillo Martinez, who instilled in her the values of family, faith, and perseverance. Throughout her life, Flora faced challenges with resilience and determination, always guided by her unwavering faith in the Lord.
A Family Matriarch
Flora was the loving wife of Juan Angel Garza Bernal and the devoted mother of Rolando Garza, Martha Castillo, Irene Garza, and Noelia Garza. Though she experienced the pain of losing her husband and son, Flora’s love for her family remained steadfast.
She cherished her role as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, finding joy in nurturing and caring for her loved ones. Flora Garza leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to resonate for generations to come.
Her kindness, compassion, and generosity touched the lives of all who knew her. Whether through her warm smile, comforting embrace, or words of encouragement, Flora had a way of making everyone feel loved and valued.
Honoring Her Memory
Visitation for Flora Garza will be held on Thursday, February 22, 2024, from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Salinas Funeral Home of Weslaco- Chapel of the Heavens, with a Holy Rosary at 6:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, February 23, 2024, at 10:00 AM at San Martin De Porres Catholic Church in Weslaco, followed by interment at Highland Memorial Park. As we bid farewell to Flora Garza, we take comfort in knowing that she is now at peace in the loving embrace of her heavenly Father.
Though she may no longer be with us in body, her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. May her soul rest in eternal peace, and may her memory be a source of comfort and inspiration to us all.
