Douglas, affectionately known as Doug, was born in Chatham to George and Bernice Ross. Throughout his 83 years, he exemplified the values of love, dedication, and integrity. His unwavering commitment to his family and community left an indelible mark on all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Doug was the devoted husband of the late Victoria Jane Ross, with whom he shared many years of love and companionship until her passing in 1976. Together, they built a beautiful family and created countless cherished memories. As a father, Doug’s love and guidance were unwavering, and his children, Eva, Jennifer, and Tara, were the pride and joy of his life.
A Proud Grandfather and Brother
In addition to his role as a loving father, Doug was a proud grandfather to Tyler, Hannah, Adrienne, Aaron, and Tessa. His grandchildren brought him immense joy and laughter, and he cherished every moment spent with them. Doug was also a dear brother to Gary Ross and the late Elaine Japp, and his bond with his siblings was a source of strength and support throughout his life.
