In 2002, Eric crossed paths with Kaneen Maestas, and their connection blossomed into a lifelong partnership. United in marriage in 2007, they embarked on a journey together, blessed with two children, Nathan and Sydney. Eric’s love for new adventures led the family to explore the landscapes of Alaska, Utah, Missouri, and finally settling in Idaho. In each place, Eric cultivated a life rich in experiences and surrounded by those he held dear. Eric’s spirit thrived in the great outdoors, and he was an avid outdoorsman with a passion for fishing and hunting.
His love for nature was not just a personal pursuit but a gift he shared with his children. Teaching Nathan and Sydney the joys and wonders of the natural world became one of Eric’s greatest joys. His infectious enthusiasm for outdoor adventures created lasting memories that will forever echo in the hearts of his children.
Family Ties and Connections
Eric is survived by his son Nathan, 14, and daughter Sydney, 13, a testament to the love and commitment he poured into fatherhood. His parents, James Jensen and Andrea Smith, along with his siblings – Brian (Darcie) Jensen, Stephanie (Robert) McKeever, Stacy (Cody) Brooks, and Shannah (Darrell) Porter – mourn the loss of a beloved brother. Eric leaves behind a legacy in the form of four nephews and five nieces who will forever carry the imprint of his love and guidance.
Preceded in death by his grandparents Sherman and Mildred Jensen, and Duane and Sybil Martin, Eric’s departure leaves a void in the hearts of those who cherished him. His unquestionable love and devotion to family were the cornerstones of his existence.
