The passing of Robert “Bob” Richard Bowman, a beloved resident of Cambridge, Ohio, on February 6, 2024, has left a void in the hearts of his family, friends, and community. Bob, aged 85, lived a life filled with hard work, dedication, and a deep love for his family. Born on January 7, 1939, in Coshocton, Ohio, Bob was the son of Harold “Shorty” and Nettie West Bowman.

From an early age, Bob exhibited a strong work ethic and a commitment to providing for his loved ones. He spent much of his life working as a coal miner, dedicating himself to a demanding profession that required grit and determination.

Later in life, Bob transitioned to a new career at Colgate, where he continued to work diligently to support his family. His tireless work ethic and unwavering dedication were a testament to his character and values. In addition to his professional endeavors, Bob was an active member of his community.

He was a proud member of the Eagles and found enjoyment in gambling, where he cherished the camaraderie of his fellow members. Bob’s friendly demeanor and genuine kindness endeared him to all who knew him, and he will be fondly remembered for his warm smile and infectious laughter.

Bob’s faith was an integral part of his life, and he was a devout Nazarene. His faith provided him with strength and comfort throughout his life’s journey, sustaining him through both joyous and challenging times.

Bob proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force, demonstrating his patriotism and commitment to serving others. His service to his country was a source of pride for both himself and his loved ones. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Judith “Judy” Bowman, whom he married in 1961, and who passed away on February 2, 2023. He was also preceded in death by his brother Larry Bowman.

While Bob’s physical presence may no longer be with us, his legacy of love, hard work, and dedication will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him. His memory will be cherished and honored by his family, friends, and community for generations to come. May he rest in eternal peace, reunited with his beloved wife Judy, knowing that he was deeply loved and will be forever remembered.
