This tribute celebrates the life of Judith, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and cherished member of the community. Judith was born on January 11, 1947, in Fremont, Ohio, to the late Robert William and Donna Frances McKinney. She was raised with love and care, laying the foundation for the compassionate and caring individual she would become. Judith graduated from Gibsonburg High School in 1965, marking the beginning of her journey into adulthood.
A Love Story Unfolds: 56 Years of Marriage
On November 25, 1967, Judith embarked on a lifelong journey with the love of her life, Richard Penrod. Their union was a testament to enduring love, understanding, and shared joys. Over the course of 56 years of marriage, Judith and Richard created a life filled with love, laughter, and countless memories.
Judith’s enduring patience and love became a source of inspiration for all who knew them. Judith’s presence was well-known in the community, thanks to her years of dedicated service at the former Gorant Candy. Her commitment to her work and the friendly smile she shared with customers became a hallmark of her presence. Through her dedication, she became not just an employee but an integral part of the community’s fabric.
Passions and Pursuits: Reading, Bunnies, and Travel
Beyond her professional life, Judith embraced various passions that added depth and richness to her days. An avid reader, she found solace and joy in the world of literature. Her love for collecting bunnies reflected a playful and whimsical side, adding a touch of charm to her surroundings. Traveling with Richard, especially to Tennessee, became a source of adventure and shared experiences that further strengthened their bond. Judith’s greatest joy in life was undoubtedly her family.
As a devoted mother and grandmother, she poured her love and affection into every moment spent with her children and grandchildren. Her daughters, Renee (Troy) West of Dover and Nicole Incarnato of Dover, were not only recipients of her unwavering love but also bear witness to the values she instilled in them. The arrival of grandchildren—Kaitlyn, Brock, Alyssa, and Kaley brought an extra layer of joy and pride to Judith’s life.
Family Ties: Sisterhood and Shared Memories
Judith shared a special bond with her sister, Betty Jerski of Gibsonburg, Ohio. The two sisters created a lifetime of shared memories, laughter, and support for each other. Despite the physical distance, their connection remained strong, a testament to the enduring power of family ties. Judith’s journey on this earthly plane may have come to an end, but the memories she leaves behind will continue to live on. In accordance with her wishes, a private service will be held at a later date, allowing family and close friends to gather, remember, and celebrate the life of this remarkable woman.
