Her love for music and performance blossomed at an early age, leading her to lend her alto soprano voice to many church choirs. Dotty’s singing wasn’t merely an expression; it was a gift that radiated joy to all fortunate enough to hear her melodious tones.

Family stood as the cornerstone of Dotty’s world. As a loving mother to her daughters, Denise D. Griffing (James) and Brenda B. Maddock, she poured boundless affection into their lives. Her grandson, Jack R. Griffing (Samantha), and great-grandson, Noah S. Griffing, were recipients of her nurturing love.
Alongside her daughters, Dotty’s family circle included her sisters, Ruth E. Lins (the late Floyd) and the late Mildred E. Beyond these pursuits, Dotty found delight in knitting, solving Sudoku puzzles, engaging in game nights, and staying connected through text messages with friends and family.
