Barbara Ann’s spiritual journey was a cornerstone of her life. She was a devoted member, deacon, and former secretary of the First Christian Church of Liberty. Her unwavering faith, coupled with her active involvement in the church, exemplified her commitment to community, compassion, and the values she held dear. Beyond her professional and spiritual roles, Barbara Ann embraced life with zest and enthusiasm.
She enjoyed golfing, relishing moments on the green, and playing bridge, where camaraderie and competition intersected. Barbara’s creative spirit found expression in the art of quilting, a craft that allowed her to weave threads of love and warmth. Her connection to nature manifested in her love for gardening, spending hours cultivating the beauty of her surroundings.

Barbara Ann’s most cherished role was that of a mother and nanny. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and devotion as she touched the lives of her son, Gary True, daughter, Audrey Rousey, and their families. Her grandchildren, Courtney Hasty and Connor True, carry forward the love and wisdom imparted by their beloved nanny. Barbara Ann’s family extended beyond her immediate relatives. Her sister, Virginia Kendrick, and brother, Clarence Reid, were not just family members but cherished companions on life’s journey. The funeral service, scheduled for 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, will be officiated by Bro. Bob Brooks and Bro. Bob Mallory. Following the service, Barbara Ann will find her final resting place in Brush Creek Cemetery.
