James Sudduth Obituary, James Sudduth Has Died -Death

Hamilton, Mississippi, mourns the loss of a beloved community member, James Clyde Sudduth, who peacefully passed away on Monday, February 6, 2024, at the age of 95. Surrounded by loved ones, he took his last breath at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Hamilton, leaving behind a legacy of love, family, and community spirit.

James Clyde’s life will be celebrated on Saturday, February 10, 2024, with a visitation scheduled from 1:00 PM until the service begins at 2:00 PM at the Hamilton First Baptist Church. The final farewell will take place at the Love Joy Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest.

A brother and sister, Charles Lywood Sudduth and Edith Lott, shared in the joys and challenges of their youth. The passing of these siblings marked the end of an era, leaving James Clyde as the torchbearer of family memories and traditions. James Clyde’s devotion to family continued with the creation of his own.

His marriage to Charlene was a testament to enduring love, and their daughter Kathy became a focal point of his world. The bond between James Clyde and Kathy extended beyond the familial realm, transcending into a friendship that enriched both their lives.

James Clyde’s legacy extends to his grandson, James Clay Graben, and wife Macy, who reside in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL. Their daughter, Lucy James Graben, is the great-granddaughter who will undoubtedly carry the warmth of James Clyde’s spirit into the future. Additionally, he is survived by his sister, Betty Fay Wray, of Muscle Shoals, AL.

The Sudduth family also reflects on the memories of those who have gone before James Clyde. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Elton and Monterie Cook Sudduth, as well as his brother, Charles Lywood Sudduth (Faye), of Russellville, and sister, Edith Lott (Johnnie), of Hartselle.
