Ruth Robinson Obituary, Heartfelt Farewell To Ruth Robinson – Death

In the serene surroundings of Lexington, Kentucky, a gentle soul bid farewell to this world. Ruth A. Robinson, 92, formerly of Butler, transitioned peacefully on Saturday, Jan. 27, 2024, in the comfort of her daughter’s residence. As we reflect on the life of Ruth, we celebrate a woman whose journey was marked by love, service, and a vibrant spirit that touched the hearts of those around her. Ruth A. Robinson entered the world on Nov. 18, 1931, in Butler, Pennsylvania, born to John H. and Beulah (Stear) Lawson.

The roots of her early years were firmly grounded in the close-knit community of Butler, shaping the foundation of values that would guide her throughout life. Family was a cornerstone for Ruth, and the bonds forged with her parents became an enduring source of strength.

A Life of Service and Community Involvement

Ruth’s commitment to service extended beyond the confines of her home. As a proud member of the American Legion in Saxonburg, she contributed to the well-being of her community. Her involvement with Thorncreek United Methodist Church further exemplified her dedication to faith and fellowship. Ruth’s spirit of giving back found expression in her engagement with various activities, from sewing and crafting to camping and assisting with the Girl Scouts. Ruth embraced the simple pleasures of life, finding joy in activities that brought her happiness. A skilled seamstress, she found fulfillment in the art of sewing. Her creative spirit thrived in crafting, and the great outdoors beckoned her during camping adventures. Ruth’s love for the community was evident in her role with the Girl Scouts, where she extended a helping hand to the younger generation.

A Social Butterfly: Garage Sales, Cards, and Bingo

Ruth’s sociable nature manifested in her enjoyment of various pastimes. Exploring garage sales allowed her to connect with the community and discover hidden treasures. Card games and bingo were not just activities for Ruth; they were avenues for building connections and sharing laughter.

Her zest for life was contagious, creating a vibrant atmosphere wherever she went. Surviving Ruth is her daughter, Carol (Kenneth) Weleski, with whom she shared her home. The love and care exchanged between mother and daughter formed a bond that weathered the tests of time. Grandchildren Timothy J. (Abby) Weleski and Gregory J. (Farrah) Weleski, along with great-grandchildren Aleksandra, Olivia, James Weleski, and Madison Lupu, carry forward Ruth’s legacy of love and joy. Ruth’s life journey included the companionship of her husband, James D. Robinson. Together, they navigated the intricate dance of life, building a home filled with love and shared memories. The loss of James preceded Ruth in death, leaving a void that only the passage of time and cherished memories could soothe. Ruth was also preceded by her son, James A. Robinson, adding a layer of sorrow to the tapestry of her life.

In adherence to Ruth’s wishes, a private burial will take place in Greenlawn Burial Estates. The act of laying her to rest will be a private and intimate affair, symbolizing the personal nature of farewells and the gentle transition into eternal rest. As we bid farewell to Ruth A. Robinson, we celebrate a life that exemplified love, service, and the joy found in simple pleasures. Her contributions to community, family, and the lives she touched through various activities resonate in the collective memories of those who knew her.
