Corey Buggs Obituary Lexington NC, Corey Buggs Has Died

 Our Father, who is all wise and omnipotent, called Corey D. Buggs, Esq. from labor to rest, Thursday, February 1, 2024. He was born June 20, 1969 in Davidson County. In Loving Memory: A Fond Farewell to a Life Well-Lived:

Carolina and furthered his studies by receiving his Juris Doctor from Wake Forest University School of Law in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He worked with the IBM Corporation, General Electric Company, Duke Power Company as a Law Clerk, an Intern at District Attorney’s Office in Forsyth County, North Carolina Prosecutorial District 21, Wachovia Corporation as a Law Clerk. For six years, Corey worked in the District Attorney’s Office for Alexander.

Celebrating a Legacy: Honoring the Remarkable Journey:

Davidson, Davie and Iredell Counties as Assistant District Attorney and was the first African American Assistant District Attorney for North Carolina Prosecutorial District 22. Attorney Buggs worked as an associate at Biesecker, Tripp, Sink & Fritts, LLP in Lexington until December 2006 when he opened The Law Offices of Corey D. Buggs, PLLC. Corey was a lifelong member of Files Chapel Baptist Church and served as a trustee, financial secretary, treasury of corporate board and former youth director.

Attorney Buggs received many honors, served on numerous boards and associations: Eta Kappa Nu, Electrical Engineering Honor Society, National Society of Black Engineers, William M. Cates Scholarship, Phi Delta Phi, Legal Fraternity, Black Law Student Association, Wake Forest University School of Law Trail Bar, North Carolina Board Association, Juvenile Justice Crime Prevention Council board member, Salvation Army Advisory Board Member, Boys and Girls of America Advisory Board Chairman.
