On November 26th, 2020, the vibrant community of Zumbrota was left mourning the loss of a beloved soul, Adam Daniel Schaefer. He fought valiantly against the quiet, often invisible adversary known as depression, but despite his courageous efforts, he succumbed to its insidious grip.
As the shadows of this relentless disease stole his light, those who knew and loved him were left grappling with the profound void left behind. Born on January 10th, 1989, to Randy and Tracy (Winchester) Schaefer in Zumbrota, MN, Adam brought immeasurable joy to his parents’ lives.
A Lifetime of Love and Companionship:
Tracy, filled with maternal pride, would often boast to anyone who would listen that he was the most beautiful baby ever to grace their home. Adam’s journey continued as he graduated from Kenyon-Wanamingo High School in 2007. His presence was felt throughout the school, not just as an athlete but as a friend to all. His congenial nature and amiable demeanor led to his nomination as Homecoming King of his class, a testament to the positive impact he had on those around him. If you asked anyone who knew Adam to describe him, the unanimous response would echo, “He was such a nice guy.”
