Wilford Joseph Flyte, Jr., affectionately known as Wil, embarked on his earthly journey on September 1, 1953, in the picturesque town of Hot Springs, South Dakota. Born to Wilford and Beverly Flyte, his roots were deeply embedded in the natural beauty of the Black Hills—a setting that would shape his early years with a sense of awe and appreciation for the world around him.
The Flyte family later found themselves embracing the warmth of Arizona, settling in the vibrant city of Scottsdale. It was here, against the backdrop of the Sonoran Desert, that Wil would grow and flourish. His formative years were marked by the unique blend of South Dakota’s tranquility and Arizona’s arid allure.
