Jane Brown Obituary, Jane Brown Has Passed Away – Death

During the day of Saturday, January 27, 2024, Mrs. Jane Vantrease Brown, who was 84 years old and lived in Franklin, Kentucky, passed away at her residence. Visitation will be conducted at Gilbert Funeral Home & Crematory on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

The day and time of the visitation are specified. Continued visitation will take place at Gilbert Funeral Home & Crematory on Thursday, February 1, 2024, beginning at 6:00 AM and continuing until 11:00 AM.

Restlawn Memory Gardens in Simpson County, Kentucky will be the location of the interment that will take place after the funeral services that will be held on Thursday, February 1st at 11:00 AM. On January 21, 1940, Jane Brown was born in Simpson County, Kentucky.

Her parents, Hazel Brown and Lottie (Bailey) Brown, both passed away before her birth. Her husband, James Harris Vantrease, and her daughter, Michell Perkins, both passed away before her. She is also predeceased by her daughter.

She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Kelly Brown; a son, Mike Vantrease (Anita) of Bowling Green, Kentucky; three step-children, Kelly Brown, Jr. (Cheryl) of Des Moines, Iowa; Kevin Brown (Lisa) of Windamear, Florida; and Karana Brown of Florida; six grandchildren, Matthew, Emmi, Maggie, Faith, Jacob, and Ian; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Sandra Brown Groves of Franklin, Kentucky.

Jane received her diploma from Franklin-Simpson High School in the year 1958. He attended the Calvary Baptist Church in Franklin, Kentucky, where she was a member. Jane had worked as a bookkeeper at Miles Farm Supply until she retired. Previously, she had worked at Potter & Brumfield as an employee.
