Rosaleen McCrory Obituary, Read More About Rosaleen McCrory Death

The Lurgan community is collectively grieving the loss of a cherished soul, Rosaleen McCrory (née McConville), who peacefully passed away on January 25th, 2024, at Craigavon Area Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. As we reflect on Rosaleen’s life, we honor the legacy of a woman who was dearly beloved by her family and the community she touched. Rosaleen was the dearly beloved wife of Gerard McCrory, residing at 11 Ashwood, Lurgan. Together, they built a life rooted in love and shared experiences. Rosaleen was the nurturing matriarch of her family, a role she embraced with grace and dedication. Her love extended to her children, Fionnuala (Scott), Maeve (McCabrey), Declan, Eamonn, Colm, and Brendan. She was not just a mother but a guiding force, shaping the values and character of her children with unwavering devotion.

Rosaleen’s memory will forever be etched in the hearts of her family. She was the beloved mother-in-law of Michael, the late Tony, Maria, Marie, Ita, and Ciara. Her role as a grandmother was a source of immense joy, and she leaves behind 23 grandchildren who were the recipients of her affection and care. In addition, she became a great grandmother to 10 little ones, bringing an added layer of warmth to the McCrory family.

The funeral service to celebrate Rosaleen’s life will take place on Sunday at 1.15 pm, commencing from her late residence and proceeding to St Paul’s Church for a 2.00 pm Requiem Mass. Following the Mass, Rosaleen will be laid to rest in St Colman’s Cemetery, a place of eternal rest where her spirit will find peace. For those unable to attend in person, the Requiem Mass can be viewed on St Paul’s Church webcam, allowing friends and well-wishers to participate in the ceremony from afar. It is a testament to the strength of community and technology that even in times of sorrow, we can come together to remember and honor a life well-lived.

Rosaleen’s faith was a cornerstone of her life, providing solace and guidance. As we bid her farewell, we invoke the intercession of St. Dymphna, asking for her prayers on behalf of Rosaleen as she journeys into the next realm.
