Robert J. Landsee Obituary, Sun Prairie WI, In Loving Memory Of Robert J. Landsee – Death

Robert “Bob” J. Landsee, a beloved husband, father, and pillar of the community, unexpectedly passed away of natural causes on January 20, 2024, at his winter home in Florida. Born on March 21, 1964, in Milwaukee to Frank and Maria Landsee, he was raised in Iron Mountain, Michigan. Bob’s journey took him to the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he excelled both academically and athletically.

As the captain of the UW football team, he showcased leadership qualities that would define his life. Graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in agricultural business, Bob’s commitment to success was evident early on. On March 21, 1987, Bob married the love of his life, Sharon Dollins, in Madison. Their union was blessed with two daughters, Sara and Melissa. Family became the center of Bob’s world, and he and Sharon shared in the ownership and operation of several businesses throughout the Midwest.

Bob’s passion for football extended beyond his playing days; he coached and mentored young athletes, instilling in them not only a love for the sport but also valuable life skills. His dedication to developing the character of young men left an indelible mark on the communities he served. In addition to his contributions to the football community, Bob was a devout Catholic, finding solace and strength in his faith. A dedicated member of St.

Albert the Great Catholic Church in Sun Prairie, Bob’s spiritual journey was a source of inspiration for those around him. Bob is survived by his loving wife, Sharon, their daughters Sara and Melissa, mother-in-law Kathleen Dollins, son-in-law Riley Poe, sisters Katherine Huschitt and Elizabeth Czernek, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Maria Landsee, brother-in-law William “Bill” Czernek, and father-in-law John Dollins.

A Memorial Mass in celebration of Bob’s life will be held on Friday, February 2, 2024, at 11:00 AM at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church in Sun Prairie. Following the Mass, a celebration of life will take place at the Hilton Garden Inn.

Friends may pay their respects and support the family from 9:00 AM until the start of the Mass at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to a charity of choice in Bob’s memory. Bob’s legacy lives on in the hearts of those who were privileged to know him, and his impact will forever be remembered.
