The passing of Katrina Kay Barker, who resided in Killeen, Texas and was 53 years old at the time of her death, occurred on Friday, June 30, 2023. Katrina was born on December 27th, 1969 in the city of Austin, Texas, in the United States of America.
She took part in a variety of activities when she was attending school in Georgetown, including belonging to the band and participating in the 4-H horsemanship programme. Over the course of her life, she lived on a farm in Weir, Texas, beginning in 1984 and lasting until she received her high school diploma.
Tarleton State University awarded her a Bachelor of Science degree in Education as well as a Master of Arts degree in Education. While she was there, she also worked towards gaining her certification as an Educational Diagnostician.
Beginning in the year 2018, she has been employed by the Killeen Independent School District in the capacity of an Educational Diagnostician. Prior to that, she had more than twenty years of experience working as a teacher of students with special needs.
Katrina was a weekend warrior in Weir, Texas, where she continued her education on the farm, helped her father with housework, and worked with her horses, among other things. She also supported her father with housework.
All of Katrina’s family members, including her father, David Barker, her brother, Jarret Barker, her sister-in-law, Ashley Barker, two nephews, Wyatt and Darby Barker, and a niece, Paisley Barker, are able to carry on her legacy. Not only that, but she is also survived by her great aunt, Louise Barker Jordan, as well as her aunt, Lynda Barker Hendley.
