Steve Rolfe Obituary, Learn More About Steve Rolfe Death Tribute

The collective heartbeat of a community club is the rhythm of its people those who stand as giants, contributing selflessly for the greater good. In the tapestry of our club, we’ve been blessed with individuals who are not just players but the very bricks that build the foundation of our shared passion.

Steve Rolfe was one such giant, a Mighty Oak whose presence resonated in every corner of our community. Paul ‘Viz’ Vizard, a dear friend and comrade, shares these poignant words that capture the essence of a man whose sudden departure has left us all in sorrow:

Steve Rolfe’s journey with our club began in 1993 when he donned the jersey of the 5th Team, marking the commencement of a playing career that would span years and generations. A formidable force on the field, Steve’s name became synonymous with the undefeated 4th Team in the 1990s, where he held the No.8 position. His prowess on the pitch was not confined to local grounds; Steve ventured on numerous senior club tours, creating memories that echo through time from Copenhagen to Milan, Newquay, and beyond.

Love often finds its way into unexpected corners, and for Steve, it blossomed on the rugby pitch. His path crossed with Amanda’s while coaching the Sevenoaks Ladies team alongside Lee Adamson in 1999. A shared passion for the sport became the foundation for a love story that transcended the boundaries of the field.

When their son, William, entered their lives, Steve seamlessly transitioned into the role of a coach, passing on his love for the game to the next generation.

A fixture on the sidelines, Steve became a mentor, not just in rugby skills but in life lessons, creating a legacy that extends beyond the try lines. He shared the coaching journey with fellow mentors, forming bonds that went beyond the pitch, marked by camaraderie and the shared joy of nurturing young talents.
