She first joined the Hamilton Lioness Club on January 4, 1988, becoming a Chartered Member. Later, on January 6, 2000, she transferred her allegiance to the Hamilton Lions Club, bringing her passion for community service to a new chapter.

During her tenure, Joan’s contributions were nothing short of exemplary. She exhibited extraordinary leadership skills, as evidenced by her presidency from July 1, 2010, to June 30, 2012. In these two years, she steered the club with grace, fostering a sense of camaraderie and purpose that defined her leadership style.

Beyond her role as president, Joan continued to be an active force within the club, serving as a Club Director from 2015 to 2017.
