Chef Graffeo’s culinary odyssey began at the tender age of 14 when he took on the role of a dishwasher in the North End of Boston. His journey from the humble position of a dishwasher to the pinnacle of culinary excellence is a testament to his work ethic, determination, and love for the culinary arts. Through hard work and dedication, he earned a promotion, marking the beginning of a culinary career that would leave an indelible mark on the culinary landscape of Massachusetts.

Throughout his illustrious career, Chef Graffeo showcased his culinary prowess at some of Massachusetts’ finest establishments, including Victoria Dining Restaurant, Eastern Yacht Club, The Wharf Restaurant, Polcari’s Restaurants, and The Hotel Vendome. His culinary expertise and dedication to his craft garnered him national acclaim and numerous awards, solidifying his status as a culinary luminary.

Among the many accolades and achievements that adorned Chef Graffeo’s distinguished career, a few notable highlights include his induction into the American Academy of Chefs Culinary Hall of Fame in 2011. His commitment to excellence was further underscored by his 44-year fellowship with the American Academy of Chefs and his 52-year membership with both the American Culinary Federation and the Epicurean Club of Boston.

His leadership and commitment were evident during his tenure as a Board Member and Officer of the ACF Massachusetts Chefs de Cuisine for 10 years, as well as his remarkable 40-year service as a Board Member and Officer of the ACF Epicurean Club of Boston.
