The following is a list of some of the significant alterations that have been made to the agenda for this evening by Ascension: Through the course of the evening, Bret Werpy’s father, Jason Werpy, passed suddenly in a manner that was completely unexpected.
As we have the opportunity to share this information with you, we would like to offer our most sincere sympathies. Considering that Bret is currently serving as the Worship and Music Director at Ascension Parish, he is an extremely valuable member of our community.
His father, Jason, was a blessing to our congregation because he contributed both his time and his talents to the audiovisual aspect of the ministry. This was his way of showing his appreciation for the ministry.
Because we want to show that we are in solidarity with the Werpy family, we are going to have a prayer service at Ascension this evening. During the service, we will worship with candles. At some point in the future, this will begin to take the place of our customary nightly service, which is referred to as The Story.
It is not possible to give guests with a meal to eat during the evening meal. After the ceremony that was scheduled to take place this evening, everything else that was meant to take place has been cancelled, including the events that were supposed to take place.
There is not a single member of the Faith Generation, the Confirmation, the 11th Grade Milestone, or the Choir that will be present at this event.
Attending the event and expressing their presence would be a wonderful way for everyone to show their love and support for the Werpy family, and they would be grateful for your attendance.
