Athens Deno Obituary, Athens Deno Has Passed Away – Death

 “Athens” John Arthur Deno passed away peacefully and quietly on January 19th, surrounded by his loved ones. His passing was a tribute to his life and legacy. Fremont Ross High School was the institution from which John Deno graduated with his high school diploma.

Arthur Deno and Evelyn (Overmyer) Deno were his parents, and he was their son. After that, he finished his undergraduate degree at Ohio University and then continued his education at The Ohio State University, where he earned his doctoral degree.

John is survived by his wife Irelynne (Seiferth) Deno, his six children Carolyn (Drew) Wolfe, Scott (Deana) Hamer, Courtenay (Mike) Tenoglia, Amanda (Todd) Jessup, Ethan (Jaclyn) Deno, and Megan (C.J.) Heller, twelve grandchildren, Kyle and Ryan Wolfe, Morgan and Josh Hamer, Olivia and Sophia Tenoglia, Alexandra and Aaron Deno, Courtney, Mackenzie, Lane, and Kyleigh Heller, and five great grandchildren.

The people who had before him in death were his sister Barbara Deno, his sister Nancy, and his brother-in-law Skip Young. Additionally, his parents, Arthur and Evelyn Deno, were among the individuals who were able to outlive him.

John participated in the activities of the Christ Lutheran Church, the Athens Kiwanis, and the Athens Elks. In addition, he was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church.

Beginning in 1970 and continuing until 1985, John worked as a teacher at Athens High School. After that, he moved on to become a professor of Engineering Technology at Ohio University, where he remained until his retirement in 5. John was a teacher from 1970 till 1985. His career lasted seven decades.
