Born on September 2, 1953, in Bay City, Michigan, Denise was the daughter of Marlin Metiva and the late Marilyn Metiva. She leaves behind a legacy of love, family, and enduring connections that touched the lives of those around her.
Denise was more than a beloved daughter; she was a sister, a wife, a mother, and a grandmother, weaving a tapestry of familial bonds that brought warmth and joy to her life. Her memory will be forever cherished by her siblings, including Dan Metiva (Bev), Marty Metiva (Cheryl), Mike Metiva (Becky), and Lisa Watson (Jeffery).
On July 10, 1993, Denise embarked on a new chapter of her life, exchanging vows with Carlo Hernandez. Their union was a testament to the enduring power of love and commitment. Denise’s devotion to her family extended to her role as a loving mother to Jacob Manning (Ros), Miranda Hernandez, Theresa Hernandez, and Darrin Hernandez. Her nurturing spirit created a home filled with love, laughter, and shared moments that will be treasured by her children.
