Regrettably, we must inform you of the passing of our beloved father, son, brother, and uncle. Our hearts are filled with sorrow. Chris passed away on January 13, 2024, in the Health Sciences Centre, surrounded by his family and a close friend who was very important to him.
His children, Alexander, Catherine, and Olivia, as well as his parents, Alex and Marilyn Woloshyn, his sisters Maryann (Paul), Rose, and his brother Mark (Leanne), are among those who are left behind after his passing. His nephews Michael, James, and Daniel, as well as his niece Chanda (Josh), and their children Jessie and Jaxon, are among those who will miss him forever.
On January 7, 1966, Chris was born in a 1955 Buick that was travelling to the Selkirk hospital when he was born. From that point on, he led a life filled with a great deal of excitement and adventure. While Chris attended Red River Community College to earn his diploma in commerce, he attended the University of Winnipeg to earn his degree in music.
He had a great deal of pride in his offspring. The spirit of exploration and curiosity that Alexander acquired from his father. His genes for dancing in Ukrainian were passed down to Olivia. His passion for the piano was passed down to Catherine.
Through music, Chris was able to express himself, and he played the piano by sound. Liberace was a common nickname for him, and he would perform any song that was requested of him. He rated SuperTramp’s Fool’s Overture as one of his favourite pieces of music. Not only did Chris have a wonderful sense of humour, but he was also an inspiring storyteller. In addition to having a large number of friends, he was the kind of person who could strike up a conversation with anyone.
This man had the power to make you feel as though you were the most important thing in the world to him. Not only will he be missed by his family, but also by his friends who shared his passion for sailing, fishing, and motorcycles, as well as by his special buddy Melissa and his coworkers at FedEx.
