Anthony Zuniga Car Accident, Resident of Jurupa Valley California in Fatal Car Crash

According to the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office, a guy who was wanted for fraud in Michigan was killed in a crash after leading deputies on a brief high-speed chase overnight on the West Side. The chase took place from the evening until the morning.

It was approximately 12:38 in the morning on Sunday when the collision took place at the intersection of Enrique Barrera Highway and Callaghan Road. In the vicinity of the 6400 block of Enrique Barrera Highway, two deputies were travelling when they came across a grey F250 pickup truck that was travelling in the opposite direction of traffic without its headlights on.

According to the BCSO, the truck driver was jerking back and forth between the correct traffic lanes and the opposite traffic lanes. Despite the fact that the deputies turned on their emergency lights in an effort to bring the pickup truck to a stop, it continued to pick up speed, which led to the pursuit. After a few moments, a Camry that was parked at the intersection of Enrique Barrera Highway and Callaghan Road collided with the pickup truck.

It was the impact that caused the truck to roll over when it collided with a utility pole. He was ejected from the truck, and despite the efforts of emergency medical services, the driver of the truck passed away at the scene, according to the deputies.

In spite of the fact that they did not receive major injuries, the driver and passenger of the Camry were transported to the hospital for evaluation, according to the BCSO. Deputy sheriffs stated that the pickup truck driver was staying in a nearby motel off of Enrique M. Barrera Parkway, and that the truck he was in was stolen.

This information was obtained after additional inquiry. The BCSO also stated that the driver was in possession of “numerous items believed to be evidence of property crimes,” which included items such as checks and copper items, among other things.
