As a result of the untimely passing of John Juan Mendez, who was widely known all over the world as Silent Servant, a vacuum that cannot be filled has been left in the landscapes of both the underground music scene and the electronic music sector.
This void cannot be filled. As we say our final goodbyes to John Juan Mendez, it is with a sad heart that we have accomplished this. He will be greatly missed by all of us.
Although Juan is primarily recognised for his groundbreaking work as a techno artist and DJ, his influence was not restricted to a certain musical genre. In truth, Juan’s influence was not limited to any one musical genre. He made significant contributions to the field of electronic music, which were innovative.
Through his work as a DJ and the creation of his own music, he not only supported and contributed to the international post-punk and darkwave culture, but he also amplified the voices of a great number of other musicians from all over the world.
To accomplish this, he created music that was uniquely his own and provided support to the culture. He was, in point of fact, a well-known figure in the genre that he worked in. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and the relatives of his wife Simone’s family, who also passed away in a sad catastrophe.
