In spite of the fact that I do not update on my website very often, I felt it was important to inform everyone that my mother, Lorraine McCasland, passed away yesterday.
I was sitting here last night and observed that her porch light did not come on between the hours of 8:30 and 9:00 so that her dog could use it to figure out how to get home. Despite the fact that he has been gone for two years, I could already feel the differences. While I was sitting here,
I noted that her dog was able to use the light to figure out how to get home. When I drive up the road tomorrow, I am already aware that my phone will not ring and that she will not ask me where I am going. I am also aware that she will not ask me where I am going. When her heart stopped beating and her last breath was taken,
I had the opportunity to take her hand and tell her that I loved her. Before she passed away, I had the chance to tell her that I loved her. My only regret is that I did not express my affection for her more effectively.
I would want to use this opportunity to convey my appreciation to all of my friends and relatives who reached out to make phone calls, as well as to those who prayed for my family. Please know that your prayers are not only requested but also tremendously appreciated at this time.
