On Thursday, October 12, 2023, in her residence, Laura A. Magee, who was 43 years old and from Rock Island, passed away. The funeral service, known as a Mass of Christian Burial, will take place at St. Pius X Church in Rock Island on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at 10:00 a.m.
The Rafferty Funeral Home, located at 2111-1st Street A in Moline, will be open for visitation on Monday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Rock Island’s Calvary Cemetery will be the location of the interment. Instead of sending flowers, memorial contributions can be donated to her family for the purpose of funding her children’s education.
Moline, Illinois was the location where Laura Nowak, the daughter of Gary and Mary (Sparacio) Nowak, was born on September 16, 1980. In Moline, Illinois, on March 25, 2006, she tied the knot with Casey J. Magee.
Laura received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Western Illinois University after the completion of her high school education at Alleman High School. Office Manager was the position that she had at the Children’s Therapy Centre where she worked.
A volunteer at Jordan, Laura was also a member of the Home and School Association and St. Pius X Church in Rock Island. She was also active in the Home and School Association. In addition to being a mother, she enjoyed going shopping. Among her survivors are her husband, Casey; her children, Casey Magee, Jr., Joey Magee, and Nicole Magee, all of whom reside at home; her parents, Gary and Mary Nowak, of Rock Island; and her brothers, Brad (Teena) Nowak of Chicago and Brent (Amber) Nowak of Moline.
The members of her family would like to express their gratitude to the first responders for their support, as well as to her coworkers at the Children’s Therapy Centre and, most importantly, to her close friends who assisted her with meetings, meals, and maintaining her spirits.
