Google software engineers Liren Chen and Xuanyi Yu found dead inside Los Altos home

On Tuesday, January 16, police officers uncovered the bodies of two adults during an ongoing investigation at a residence near downtown Los Altos.

The Los Altos Police Department responded to a welfare check at a home in the 200 block of West Edith Avenue around 1:20 p.m., where the discovery was made, as outlined in a police press release.

The authorities are actively looking into the situation.

The cause of death remains undisclosed, and there is no indication of a threat to public safety, as stated by the police.

The identities of the two deceased individuals have not been verified, as indicated in the police press release.
