Louis Robinson Obituary, Remembering Louis Edward Robinson

Louis Edward Robinson, affectionately known as “Bubba,” graced the world with his presence on December 25, 1940, a Christmas gift to his late mother, Louise R. Davis. His earthly journey came to a peaceful close on December 30, 2018, at Russellville Hospital. Louis was preceded in death by his parents, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. His early years were marked by a strong connection to his faith, as he attended Old Cannon Baptist Church in Margerum, Alabama. It was here that he laid the foundation for a life guided by faith and compassion.

Professionally, Louis dedicated 26 years of his life to CTA in Chicago, followed by another decade at Save a Lot in Russellville. His commitment and work ethic were exemplary, earning him the respect and admiration of colleagues and friends alike. However, beyond his professional achievements, Louis was defined by his roles as a loving husband, devoted father, and doting grandfather. His family meant the world to him, and he poured his heart into creating a warm and nurturing home.

Louis is survived by his beloved wife, Elaine Robinson, and leaves behind a legacy of love through his three daughters: Elainea Stanley (Antonio) of Leighton, AL, Carolyn Sample of Gary, IN, and Linda Moore (Art) of Rochester, NY. Additionally, he is remembered by his four sons: Louis E. Robinson, Jr., Christopher Robinson (Stephine) both of New York, Edward Robinson of Michigan, IN, and Vincent Robinson (Stephine) of Chicago, IL.

Louis’s siblings include two sisters: Annie L. Robinson of Sheffield, AL, Janie Davis of Cherokee, AL, and a brother, Homer Johnson (Janice) of Tuscumbia, AL. His family tree extended to his grandchildren: Elijah, Jada, Antonio Jr., and Candace Green, as well as his great-granddaughter, Iya Green.

In addition to his immediate family, Louis leaves behind a network of friends and extended family who were touched by his kindness and warmth. Mr. Harold Riggs, a special friend who became like a brother, holds a special place in his heart.

As we bid farewell to Louis Edward Robinson, we celebrate a life well-lived—a life marked by faith, hard work, and an abundance of love. His memory lives on in the hearts of those who knew him, and his legacy continues through the family and friends who were fortunate enough to share in the joy of his company.
