A community will come together to celebrate the life of Mr. Jack Heath at the Marvin Chapel Assembly of God church on Thursday, January 18, 2024. The funeral service, set to begin at 11:00 a.m., will be led by Sister Amy Parrish and Rev. Greg Lay. As friends and family gather to bid their farewells, the church will echo with prayers, hymns, and shared memories of a life well-lived. Burial will follow in the church cemetery, where Mr. Jack will find his final resting place.

Born on May 07, 1937, in Coffee County, AL, to James Aaron and Ada Bell McIntosh Heath, Mr. Jack was a steward of the land. His life revolved around the outdoors, where he found solace and purpose. Whether on his tractor, tending to his farm, or watching the fruits of his labor flourish, Mr. Jack embodied the essence of a life connected to nature.
His love for the land went beyond cultivation; it was about transformation. He reveled in the challenge of taking seemingly barren expanses and turning them into thriving, beautiful landscapes. Preceded in death by his parents, James Aaron and Ada Bell McIntosh Heath, as well as siblings Willie and Essie Mock, B.J., Dan Sr., Horace, and Cliff Heath, and nieces and nephews Gwendolyn Heath, Jimmy Heath, Dan Heath Jr., Danny Mock, and Mike Mock, Mr. Jack is survived by special nieces and nephews. Shirley Bowdoin (Bob) of Coffee Springs, AL, Bobbie McIntosh of Enterprise, AL, Dana Heath and Jimmy Shiver (Bonzie) of Geneva, AL, Joe Heath (Debbie) of Enterprise, AL, and Eddie Mock (Barbara) of Coffee Springs, AL, are among those who carry forward his legacy.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the Marvin Chapel Assembly of God church cemetery fund, a fitting tribute to a man who found solace and spiritual connection in the quietude of nature.
