My close friend Billy Jacobs went away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 13, 2024. He was a wonderful person. My heart is devastated since he was 82 years old.
During the time that I was working in an office, this is the individual who exemplified the concept of loyalty and who took care of a thousand errands for me.
But he was much more than that; he was my odd-job and go-to man; he could make me laugh and lift me up; he was my confidante and advisor on life’s challenges; in a real way, he was my protector; in fact, this simple, uncomplicated, humble man, this ordinary worker was my mentor in so many ways.
He fetched my children after school when I was unable to do that myself; he was my messenger and driver when we worked together at Dower College of Education; he was my go-to man; he was my go-to man; he was my go-to man; he could make me laugh and lift me up; he was my go-to man; he can make me laugh and lift me up; he was my confidante and advisor on life’s challenges; he was my protector; in fact, he was my mentor in so many different ways. He was one of the most enlightened individuals I have ever had the honour of conversing with. He will be greatly missed by me.
My best wishes to you, Big Brother Bill. Please accept my deepest sympathies on behalf of Hannah, the children, and the entire family. Please grant him eternal rest, O Lord, and let the light of eternity shine upon him.
Through the grace of God, may his soul, together with the souls of all the loyal men and women who have passed away, find eternal rest. Thank you.
