Melvin R. Kline, who was 86 years old and from Spencer, Indiana, went away unexpectedly and suddenly at his residence on Sunday, January 14, 2024. An unexpected and untimely occasion. His parents, Kenneth and Bertha (Headley) Kline, welcomed him into the world on September 17, 1937, in the city of Switz City, Indiana. Both of his parents were natives of the city of Switz.
Following his graduation from Linton High School, Mel continued his schooling at Franklin College to pursue his further education.
A great deal of reputation was bestowed upon him in Owen County as a result of his service as a trooper with the Indiana State Police, which lasted for a number of years and came to an end in the year 1990. Mel’s favourite activities included going fishing and hunting for doves, and he also had a dog named Coco.
A number of people, including his children Keith “Martha” Kline, Craig “Darla” Kline, and Melanie “Mike” Darling, as well as nine granddaughters and ten great-grandchildren, as well as his sister Marian McKinney and his nephew Kenny Ray “JoAnn” Lucas, are among those who have survived his passing.
Additionally, Mel’s parents and his wife, Marcia (Riddle) Kline, as well as his nephew John “Brenda” Lucas, all went away before to Mel’s passing. On Thursday, January 18, 2024, there will be a visitation held at the West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home in Spencer, Indiana.
The visitation will take place from eleven in the morning to one in the afternoon. The funeral ceremonies that are scheduled to take place on Thursday, January 18, 2024 at one o’clock in the afternoon will be presided over by Pastor Jonathan Ryser.
