Peter William Rapinda, who resided in Thunder Bay and was 64 years old at the time of his untimely death, went away abruptly on September 29, 1959, and has not been seen since January 10, 2024. Peter, Wade, and Peggy were the three children in a family that consisted of three siblings. Peter was the middle kid. During the time that Peter was three years old, his family moved to Thunder Bay. Peter attended Selkirk High School for his secondary schooling and then went on to devote his professional life to Canada Post after completing his high school degree. Without a doubt, Peter was one of those talented handymen who could get the job done.
His abilities as a carpenter, cook, storyteller, friend, and barman were nothing short of remarkable; nevertheless, above all things, he was the individual who was responsible for making the celebration unforgettable. One of the conditions that allowed Peter to flourish was one in which he was surrounded by other people. Being his vivacious self, putting a smile on people’s faces, and having a good laugh came so easily to him. He was always able to do all of these things.
He passed away suddenly on January 10 due to problems with his health; nonetheless, his legacy will continue to be carried on by the memories of his children and grandchildren, as well as by the stories shared by his mother, siblings, and other members of his family and friends.
Peter’s passing was unexpected. Peter was survived by his mother, Beatrice Rapinda, his brother Wade Rapinda and his wife, Betsy, his sister Peggy Stilla and her husband, Pat, his uncle Roy Rapinda, his daughter Jaclynn Elfring and her husband,
Mat, his son Steven Rapinda and his wife, Ann, his step-son Brandon Thibault, his grandchildren Josh Elfring, Lauren Elfring, and Clyde Rapinda, and a large number of nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
